Its features

Designed for use in Breast Reconstructive Surgery only.

is a membrane obtained from the processing of the pericardium from Italian cattle aged less than 20 months, selected by breed and controlled in all stages of growth for nutrition and environment in which they grow.

it is worked on the basis of a proprietary process that allows to maintain the characteristics of the natural pericardium.

guarantees fast integration times with intrinsic cellular ingrowth, minimal inflammation and negligible serum production.

it has a bilayer conformation with a highly porous fibrillar layer able to accommodate cells and, together with the components of the matrix, collaborates with cytokines and growth factors for immediate revitalization and early neoangiogenesis. The compact layer has the main purpose of providing a solid structural support. It is rapidly repopulated by fibroblasts and VEGF; after implantation there is no accumulation of inflammatory or giant cells.

THE THREE PHASES OF INTEGRATION

The bilayer membrane undergoes a revitalization by the endogenous connective tissue in 3 stages

1

2

3

During implantation, the collagen matrix absorbs blood; the revitalization process begins immediately, characterized by a controlled and short-lasting phase of inflammation.

The fibroblasts reactivate the collagen triggering the ingrowth of the new vessels that provide for metabolic needs.

At this stage of the repair process, cell proliferation prevails, which aims at the growth of new tissue. The actual remodeling phase begins its course, and is the result of the precise balance in the synthesis of collagen which becomes an integral part of the tissue which returns to be living tissue.

A TEAM OF PRO-HEAL ELEMENTS

The cell-friendly manufacturing process preserves the active elements in the reparative process inside the membrane: Proteoglycans, Hyaluronic Acid, Fibronectin, Elastin and, of course, native Collagen.

They represent a natural reservoir of bioactive factors, which participate in the revitalization process by controlling inflammation while promoting cell proliferation and migration.

All this by limiting the quantity of implanted biological mass (up to 50% less than the dermal matrices), promoting integration even in the case of low blood flow while maintaining maximum bio-mechanical performance.
